I am a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Portland Chapter - in Portland, Oregon. I served 2 years as Regent and am now an Honorary Regent. In 2008, my sister and I attended the 117th Continental Congress in Washington DC. Photos are below. After CC we visited our Aunt and Cousins in Annapolis, we had so much fun at a picnic on their beach, then the next day we were treated to a boat tour of the Chesapeake! Link below. In 2006, my sister and I attended the 115th National Society DAR Continental Congress is Washington DC in June/July of 2006. Before CC we journeyed to the island of Nantucket, MA - where our ancestor's, the Coffin family, had been a major factor in the settling of the island and were involved in the whaling industry. We enjoyed 4 memorable days there, then took the ferry back to reality - and visited Philadelphia then spent 4 days with our wonderful Shaklee family in Annapolis. Aunt Helyn and her 3 boys and their families. Then on to an extremely busy week at CC in DC. Here are some photos to share below. |
